Work for the week of the 14th December

Hi,

If your child is at home, maybe in quarantine, and they are fit to work, then please look at some of the general tasks here.

If they are going to be off for a longer period of time, I will get in contact with you, and provide more tailored work in relation to what we are covering in class.  The work here should be perfect for keeping those bright, brains active till the end of term.

Any completed work I would like to see and feedback on. Please send it to c.leverett@meadowsideacademy.org

Any queries or questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks,

Mr Leverett

Here is another set of 20 for tomorrow.

Math Place value consolidation work

Work through these questions. we have covered this topic in class so should act as good revision! Send me your workings and answers.

Spellings:

Write out as many pairs of homophones as you can. Please send them too me!

English:

Task 1.

Task 2.

Reading:

Please read for 30 minutes a day and record a comment in your yellow reading log about what you have read.

Art:

We have been looking at portraits recently. How about trying to do a self-portrait. Ideally take a photo of yourself (if you don’t have use of a camera then use a mirror) and as we have done in class, focus on this as your complete the picture. Remember the photo will give you an idea of scale; relationship of eyes on the face, size of your forehead, distance of nose to lips etc.

Try completing this in different mediums: pencil then (black and white) remember our work on shading, then felt tips, even paint if you have it.  I would love to see these.

Look forward to seeing you soon. Stay Safe
