If you have not edited already you will need to do this first (in which case the clip below will help you).  Hopefully, as we planned  today you are looking to publish your final piece of work. I which case you can either write or type this out and send it in to me.

Early Bird for today below:

Spellings:

It is Friday so time to find someone to test you on this week spellings (if you can, and you get permission, maybe a classmate could test you if you give them a call).

English:

As discussed on our zoom call yesterday – we are going to use Friday and Monday to edit, improve and publish our playscripts.

Your aim is to have this piece of work with me by the end of Monday. You may type it or write it out. Below is a clip to help you and the SC we decide on for this piece of work.

Maths: Live Lesson – Arithmetic

Big Idea:

This work is for Wed through to Friday so take your time and be proud of the final piece. I can’t wait to set it.

  1.  William Shakespeare  wrote different types of plays.  He wrote: comedies, tragedies and historical plays .Y our first task is to explain what is the difference between these three types of plays.

2. Your second task is to watch this video of Romeo and Juliet (click on link below Romeo and Juliet – then a drop down will appear ‘bing.com/videos – click on this and watch the sory of Romeo and Juliet. Then I want you to make a comic strip of this story. the success criteria for this is below:

SC:

  • Watch video below  twice and then and make notes on which were the key scenes (try to keep it to 6 or 8 key scenes)
  • Then grid out your boxes on white paper (6 or 8 depending on how many scenes you intend to do).
  • Write captions in the top corner – giving information to your reader (for example: Many years ago there were two family at war with each other)
  • Draw the picture of the scene (use speech bubbles if it helps for in a speech bubble I might write: I hate the Montagues) – top tip write the text first then draw the speech bubble around the text
  • Add colour to your pictures – but they do not need to be completely coloured it in – sometimes it can look more affective to colour in parts (like faces or just the clothes).

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?

Art and Design

A few people have asked for some extra time to complete this project – no problem!

I have a challenge for you (inspired by William’s model aeroplane he shared on the afternoon zoom call).

Unfortunately you will need some equipment to take on the challenge: paper, glue, scissors, colouring pencils or pens (you may need a parent help) – be careful when  using scissors.

As an added challenge could you add a colour-in you finished plane.

If your looking for something else to do take a look at Miss. Brown’s whole school challenge on her Forest School Blog
