Fitness and Forest School Friday!

I think we definitely deserve to take another square off our reward chart on Monday morning; we have had such an amazing few days.

We kicked our Children in Need Friday off with a Big Morning Move with Body Coach Joe Wickes in the hall with reception and Y1 and 2. We only had time for a quick breather in class before it was right out onto the playground for our sponsored activities. How many laps could we do in the playground within ten minutes- something we’ve had plenty of practice with during our daily mile! So we smashed that one (obviously). Then over to the ropes for a 2 minute skip challenge. I can’t believe how much they have improved since we first introduced the Skip2BFit days. We had 4 separate turns with a minute or two rest in between and I think it’s safe to say that everyone managed to beat their first score so well done Y3!

Jessica is going for gold!

I love how the tongues come out when we’re concentrating really hard!!

Then we just had time to squeeze in a spelling test; or at least some of us did- the rest were busy doing an art activity with Ms Brown (and I’m not kidding when I say some of them were gutted to miss the spelling test!) . The final product is sure to be amazing, they look absolutely incredible so far.  They had obviously got their creative juices flowing because we went out to forest school split into our groups again, we created some superb natural portraits. We even found some sneaky creatures wanting to take part too!
